Me: In your opinion what makes a music video pleasing?

Mark : A good video must have close-ups of the artist to maintain the memorable bands image to the audience. In terms of story it doesnt have to be related, I have gone wild with the narrative or performance in the video myself and it works out fine

Me: what inspired you?
Mark: What got me into the music video directing in the first place was watching 2001: a space odyssey when I was just nine. That film opened my mind to many creative ideas I would later put into some of my well known work.

Me: what is you favourite genre of music?

Mark: Without a doubt my favourite Genre is rock. Rock is so open for ideas when it comes to music video and it allows me to experiment and be risk taking.

Me: what does it feel like to be in such a competitive industry?

Mark: At times stressful when your not sure whether your new idea will work with audiences. I felt this when working on the perfect drug by nine inch nails. In this industry you have to take risks.
